Whizkid Bridger signs for Eagles

After weeks of speculation 16-year-old boy wonder Lewis Bridger will race for Eastbourne Eagles in the 2006 season.

The Bexhill youngster will be one of the first riders in modern history to race in the top league in the country without the experience of second division racing and will also not double up with a lower league team.

He becomes the third confirmed starter of Eagles's seven for next season joining Nicki Pedersen and Adam Shields.
