Perry leaves Hillians to join Lewes

The 20-year-old was regarded as one of Burgess Hill’s most promising young players, having emerged through the Hillians’ youth set-up and playing a pivotal role in the club’s promotion to the Ryman Premier League, although injury last season curtailed his first team game time.
Perry scored 18 goals in 72 appearances for the Hillians, including four last season and six whilst on loan at Peacehaven & Telscombe.

Hide AdHe will be best remembered by Hillians fans for scoring the winner in their FA Trophy win over Conference side Aldershot in December 2014.
Freeman had been looking to shore up the front line after the departure of Jonte Smith. He told the club’s website said: “Obviously losing Jonté was a blow, but with the signing of Dan I’m very excited about our forward prospects for the season, with Laingy, Dean Bown, Richard Greenfield, Charlie Coppola and George Landais.”
Perry’s departure came shortly after the news Darren Budd was leaving Burgess Hill Town.
