In operation during the week was the latest member of the road safety team, a speed indicator device (SID), which was used to detect and display the speed of oncoming vehicles to alert drivers they are travelling too fast.
Checks were also carried out during the week to see if children's car seats were fitted correctly and seat belts were being worn.
A children's poster competition was held to find the best 'Kill your speed not a child' poster to be displayed around the village. The children with the seven best posters won book tokens.
