Two men have been jailed for a total of 50 years after being convicted of murdering Harrison Tomkins in Crawley. The 25-year-old, suffered multiple stab wounds during the assault at a block of flats in Arthur Road at around 5.30am on August 13 last year. Police and paramedics were on the scene within minutes and performed emergency first aid but despite their best efforts, Harrison, a lifeguard from Crawley, tragically died. At Brighton Crown Court on April 23, Kaydon Prior, 23, of Hazelwick Avenue, Crawley (left), was sentenced to 28 years in custody and Jason Curtis, 22, of Lairdale Road, Lambeth, London (right), was jailed for 22 years after both being found guilty in February of Harrison’s murder following a four-week trial. A dangerous driver struck a pedestrian causing life-changing injuries in a hit and run collision in Horsham. Nasko Naskov said: “I hit him, then I panicked”. He drove away, leaving his victim for dead. The crash in Rusper Road on October 16, 2022 left the victim in intensive care with a fractured skull. It also left him requiring ongoing treatment for brain injuries which have had a life-changing impact. Naskov, 20, a catering worker of Oak Road, Southwater, admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving. A man who dealt Class A drugs to fund his lavish lifestyle has been jailed. Louis Seyfi was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply cocaine following a trial at Lewes Crown Court. The court heard how he purchased designer clothes, a BMW xDrive with a personalised number plate and high spec mountain bikes using the money he made from selling drugs in the Worthing area. He was identified by Sussex Police’s Serious Organised Crime Unit as being linked to a key defendant during their Operation Smith investigation into the large-scale distribution and supply of illegal substances. Officers executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at his home in Chancton View Road, Worthing, on October 26, 2021, where they seized a quantity of cash, cocaine and two mobile phones which had evidence of his criminal activity. The 25-year-old had denied the offence, but a jury returned a unanimous guilty verdict following a thee-day hearing which concluded on April 15. He was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for this offence, plus a further two years’ imprisonment for similar offences in 2019 – which he pleaded guilty to – to run consecutively. Two men have been jailed for running a cannabis farm in Littlehampton. Acting on intelligence, officers from the West Sussex Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) attended a unit in Riverside Industrial Estate, Bridge Road at around 3.45pm on January 12. More than 1,000 plants were found and seized, along with equipment which is used for the cultivation of cannabis. Officers quickly arrested two men at the back of the premises in connection with the farm. Donat Kurtaj, 30, of no fixed address (left) and Walter Ulndreaj, 26, of no fixed address (right) admitted to the cultivation of cannabis and were sentenced to six months’ imprisonment and 14 months’ imprisonment respectively when they appeared before Lewes Crown Court on April 11.
